Biblical Stories About:
- Ananias and Saphira: greed led to their deaths (Acts 4)
- The Rich Fool: gained the world and lost his soul (Luke 12:15-21)
- Balaam: sold spiritual services (Numbers 22-24; 2 Peter 2:15, Jude 1:11)
- Gehazi: his greed cost him his ministry and his health (2 Kings 5)
- Rich Young Ruler: his love of money kept him from salvation (Matthew 19:16-21)
- Demas: loved the things of this world too much (Col 4:14, Philemon 1:24; 2 Tim 4:9-10)
According to the Bible, greed:
- is unable to bring happiness (Ecc 5:10)
- causes conflict (Prov 28:25)
