Summer Bible Studies

Wednesday, July 14th, 2004

Summer Bible studies are Thursdays from 12:30pm to 1:30pm in the second floor lounge of Tresidder.

We’ll be taking a look at the life of David.

David will be interesting because he’s such a study in contrasts:

  • he was a ferocious warrior and a skillful poet (almost a samurai combination)
  • he was a person of tremendous integrity who committed heinous crimes
  • he was a man of deep faith who used his doubts as a catalyst for worship
  • he started as a youth no one believed in and ended as one of the greatest leaders of all time

Anyway, come join us as we delve into David’s life story!

Shaowei Injured

Monday, July 12th, 2004

Shaowei injured himself pretty badly in a bicycling accident last Friday. He’s okay, but he could use your prayers (and your love, give him a call to let him know you’re thinking about him). He’s got some stitches next to his left eye (which was uninjured) and he can’t eat solid food for a few weeks owing to some dental mishaps stemming from the rather abrupt juxtaposition of his teeth with the asphalt.

Please pray for both healing and for financial provision (cause if you’ve never been injured, the shock to your pocketbook is just as bad as the shock to your body).
