Running With The Giants
After some reflection, I’ve decided not to post my message about the Israeli leader Deborah online. Given the politically correct university environment in which we find ourselves, one of my running illustrations is too inflammatory–I wandered into areas better left unrecorded and I’d just as soon not have them quoted out of context.

If you were there, you know what I mean. If you weren’t you don’t. And thus it shall remain.

Also, no meeting the day before Thanksgiving!.

If you’re in the area feel free to drop by our place. We’re planning to do something but we haven’t decided what yet.

Want to do something that will make the world a better place?

If you’re like most college students you don’t have much money to give, but you do have a tremendously valuable resource–idle CPU cycles.

In-between typing the letters that will comprise the words that will compose the paragraphs that will be your honors thesis you can be solving pressing scientific problems that could lead to breakthroughs in cancer, AIDS, SARS, malaria, and many other tragic conditions.

All you need to do is visit http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/, register as a user, and download their small, unobtrusive software.

Once you’ve done that feel free to join our Chi Alpha grid team. That way we all work together and at the same time bear witness to Christ’s love.

But whether you join the team or not, download the software. What do you have to lose except the minute it will take you to install it?

Running With The Giants

Using the above tool is the easiest way to listen, but if you prefer to download it you can click the link below:

Heads I Win; Tails You Lose (Jacob)
Second message in the series Running With The Giants
Length: 26:22
Size: 9 MB
Format MP3
Speaker: Glen Davis — 11/10/2004

I’m not very happy with the way this message came out, so it will probably be the first to go when we need to save space on the server. At the last minute I decided to change the structure (I was going to alternate between Jacob’s plan and God’s perspective throughout, instead I chose to chunk them together), and it was a mistake. It makes the message sound repetitous.

Anyway, I mention that in case you really want a copy. Get it while it’s hot!

Also, new photos are in the gallery!
