Veritas Forum at Stanford: May 1-5, 2005

Thursday, March 31st, 2005

What is a Veritas Forum?

Veritas Forums are university events that engage students and faculty in discussions about life’s hardest questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life. The forums are created by local university students, professors, and ministers while shaped and guided by the national Veritas Forum team.

What is the mission of Veritas Forums?

We create forums for the exploration of true life. We seek to inspire the shapers of tomorrow’s culture to connect their hardest questions with the person and story of Jesus Christ.

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2005

FYI: our very own Shaowei Lin just placed #11 in the Putnam Competition (a nationwide math contest).

That’s right. By at least one measure, Shaowei is one of the 11 best college students at math in America.

I hear he’s available for tutoring. :)

Podcoasting Into The Future

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2005

It seems like iPods are all over campus right now, and so we’ve decided to begin podcasting our messages.

What’s podcasting, you ask? It’s just a technique that makes it convenient for you to download MP3s into your iPod (or whatever portable audio device you use–heck, it can even be your laptop).

So if you’ve got an MP3 player of any sort and you’d like to get our sermons each week, just download some receiving software (such as the free iPodder), subscribe to our podcast feed, and you’re good to go!
