CloseDo you have a good friend you have known for at least three years? Are you more or less likely than the average person to believe grandiose claims about them? Far less likely, right? Even if they win a Nobel prize or become president someday, you'll be the one telling all the people in your neighborhood - "let me tell you about the time she tried to bake cookies with her hair dryer. " You're the one who has the dirt on them. That's part of the role of a good friend. You keep one another grounded. So ask yourself this: what would it take to convince you that they were God?
