Come induldge yourself before our first worship service of the Fall Quarter. Sugar-loaded snacks will be served from 7:30 until 8:00, at which point our regular meeting will begin. If you’re planning to join us, let us know on the Facebook.

Our meetings begin with musical worship which is followed by Bible teaching. This week we’ll be talking about what it takes to keep a high spiritual GPA at Stanford. The meeting will run from 8:00pm to 9:30pm leaving you plenty of time to get back for your house meeting.

Oh, and there will be healthy alternatives for the non-sugar addicted.

• Lunchtime Seminar – Dr. Gary Habermas Evidence for Jesus outside the New Testament along with New Testament Reliability and the DaVinci Code
• 7:00–8:30 PM – Dr. Dallas Willard lecture w/ Q&A in MemAud. Dr. Willard will pick up on the themes developed the night before. He will likely address authority as it relates to morality, general implications of authority for life, as well as other themes deemed appropriate.

The conference actually begins Friday evening, but we’re going to skip that to avoid spending money on a hotel.

We’ll be taking a look at the life of David.

David will be interesting because he’s such a study in contrasts:

• he was a ferocious warrior and a skillful poet (almost a samurai combination)
• he was a person of tremendous integrity who committed heinous crimes
• he was a man of deep faith who used his doubts as a catalyst for worship
• he started as a youth no one believed in and ended as one of the greatest leaders of all time

Anyway, come join us as we delve into David’s life story!
